पंडित जवाहरलाल नेहरू

पंडित जवाहरलाल नेहरू भारत के पहले प्रधानमंत्री थे और भारतीय स्वतंत्रता संग्राम के प्रमुख नेताओं में से एक थे। उनका जन्म 14 नवंबर 1889 को इलाहाबाद में हुआ था। नेहरू जी ने अपनी प्रारंभिक शिक्षा हैरो और फिर कैम्ब्रिज विश्वविद्यालय में प्राप्त की थी। वे एक उत्कृष्ट वकील थे, लेकिन उन्होंने अपनी विधि की प्रैक्टिस छोड़कर स्वतंत्रता संग्राम में हिस्सा लिया।

नेहरू जी महात्मा गांधी के निकट सहयोगी थे और भारतीय राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस के प्रमुख नेता बने। वे 'तूफानी बेटों' के नाम से प्रसिद्ध युवा नेताओं में से एक थे जिन्होंने स्वतंत्रता संग्राम को नई दिशा दी। वे आधुनिक और वैज्ञानिक सोच के पक्षधर थे और उन्होंने भारत के विकास के लिए पंचवर्षीय योजनाओं की शुरुआत की।

स्वतंत्रता के बाद, नेहरू जी ने 15 अगस्त 1947 को स्वतंत्र भारत के पहले प्रधानमंत्री के रूप में शपथ ली। उनके प्रधानमंत्री काल में भारत ने औद्योगिक और वैज्ञानिक प्रगति की दिशा में महत्वपूर्ण कदम उठाए। उन्होंने गुटनिरपेक्ष आंदोलन में भी महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई।

नेहरू जी का निधन 27 मई 1964 को हुआ, लेकिन उनकी विरासत आज भी भारत के विकास में देखी जा सकती है। उनका योगदान भारतीय राजनीति, समाज और अर्थव्यवस्था में अद्वितीय है और उन्हें 'चाचा नेहरू' के नाम से भी जाना जाता है, खासकर बच्चों के बीच।
